Scotland’s leading PR consultancy, The BIG Partnership, was last night recognised at the Scottish Green Awards by winning the Best Green PR Campaign category.
The largest independent PR company in the UK outside London* won the award for developing a creative campaign for its client ScottishPower, entitled ScottishPower Story Swap Shop.
The award recognises the campaign that most effectively used public relations to generate publicity in order to build awareness of, or support corporate values on community, social, ethical or reputational issues.
ScottishPower Story Swap Shop was created to highlight the company’s sponsorship of the Edinburgh Book Festival, encourage literacy in schools and incorporate an environmental element to promote the energy efficiency message.
Alex Barr, director of The BIG Partnership, said: “This was a truly collaborative effort with our client to develop an innovative campaign with outstanding, high-impact results for ScottishPower, highlighting a strong, environmental message.”
