International waste management company Sureclean, are now expanding operations into North Africa and the Middle East. Sureclean's new base in Egypt will provide offshore cleaning and water jetting services to the oil and gas industry in that region.
The new base in Egypt benefits from more than USD $2million invested in equipment; further enhancing their wholly-owned inventory supporting clients in North Africa and the Middle East.
Sureclean's Egypt operation hit the ground running securing Inshore Rig Maintenance (IRM) and offshore cleaning and water jetting projects with major drilling contractors.
As Sureclean's Business Development Director, Paul McAlister said, “North Africa and the Middle East has emerged as an important growth market for Sureclean.” Mr McAlister added, “Our presence in Alexandria and Cairo will ensure we have resources in place to meet the needs of the market. Winning our first contracts so quickly is a clear indication of the high demand there is for our services.”
Pointing out that Sureclean is about “offering intelligent and environmentally-sensitive solutions”, he added, “We are committed to investing in innovative technology and have established an unrivalled fleet of specialist equipment.” Sureclean's recent strategic alliance agreement with TIPCO, who have operations in both North Africa and the Middle East, further consolidates their offering.
Heading up operations in the region, Richard McDonald is confident that establishing the regional base is a good move. Mr McDonald was appointed Business Development Manager, North Africa earlier in 2010 – a role that has now expanded to encompass the Middle East operations. He explained that following intensive market due diligence and evaluation of the business and market challenges, Egypt was identified as the location for Sureclean to service the North Africa and Middle East territories. He said “Establishing the regional base means we now have a multi-skilled team and innovative, high-specification equipment close to a range of existing and new customers. Most importantly we are winning orders and have a significant portfolio of pipeline business under negotiation.”
