As Scotland braces itself for a White Christmas, Scottish bookmakers, McBookie.com, is offering just 3/1 that the weather causes the cancellation of the Edinburgh Hogmanay festivities. The firm is also offering 9/1 that the lowest temperature in Scotland (-27.2C) will be beaten by the end of the year.
Paul Petrie, McBookie.com spokesman commented, ” We are already odds on that Scotland will be waking up to a White Christmas but there is also a very good chance that it will be a White Hogmanay and that could play havoc with the celebrations.”
Along with offering odds on a White Christmas, McBookie.com is also offering 5/1 that the SPL season will be extended due to the bad weather and 4/1 that the country runs out of grit by the end of the year.
