PPS, one of the leading UK companies for supplying and washing plastic sustainable crates to fish, poultry, fruit and vegetable producers, has appointed Mike Ritchie Media to handle all its Press and Public Relations’ activities in Scotland.
Headed by two Scots – Iain McArthur and David Peggie – Edinburgh-registered PPS wants to expand operations in Scotland.
This month the company, with existing centres in Grimsby and Measham in the Midlands, won a sizeable contract to provide returnable fish crates to the Belgian company, Levenstond Seafood, which supplies Belgium’s leading supermarkets with salmon from Orkney/Shetland
“Our core business at PPS is the management of returnable transit equipment (RTE) including plastic crates and boxes, plastic pallets and bins or pallet boxes,” said Iain McArthur.
“We rent such equipment to our clients, manage it in the field or at third party sites, collect used equipment and wash it to the highest standard before returning it to the equipment pool.
“We want to raise our profile in the media as we have plans to boost our business in Scotland in 2011 and beyond.
“Mike Ritchie Media is well placed to undertake the PR support we are looking for and to give us strategic advice based on his years of experience. We have already benefited from his expertise and we look forward to working together.”
Mike said that PPS had built up a fine reputation with Iain and David working together.
“The company has Scottish clients, is looking for more business and a greater presence here and I’m sure it will interest the media in all its forms in Scotland,” he said.
