Leading Aberdeen based law firm, Aberdein Considine, presented two local charities with cheques yesterday (Tuesday, January 24) following a bumper year of fundraising.
Ruth Aberdein and Ritchie Whyte from the firm presented representatives from Archway and the Torry Youth Café with cheques for £12,175 each after raising a total of £24,350.
The company held a number of fundraising events over the course of 2011 including a gentlemen’s lunch, Slimathon, Quiz Night, Golf Outing and a team of staff entered the Baker Hughes 10K.
Ruth Aberdein, at Aberdein Considine, said: “It is testament to our staff, clients and business connections that we are in a position to be able to present these cheques to two extremely worthy causes.
“Both Archway and the Torry Youth Café do an incredible amount of work in the local community and I know that the services they offer make a huge difference to the individuals and families that use them.
“To raise over £24,000 is a phenomenal achievement and we are delighted to be able to help such exceptional charities.”
