Just recently Google announced that it is introducing Multi-Channel Funnels to all Google Analytics users being displayed through five new reports. Enabling all marketers to have increased insight into the full path to conversions over a 30 day period and not simply the last click, with data being instantly being made available for the past 2 months.
The new development has enabled the ability to measure conversions in even greater detail while maintaining focus for users who require return on investment (ROI) focussed information.
Now achieved through looking at interactions across the major media channels. Giving marketers the ability to understand how each channel, the source of traffic, works together towards creating conversions and sales.
A spokesperson from UK SEO experts QueryClick commented on the recent introduction of Multi-Channel Funnels: “Google's decision to introduce this new feature has really interested many marketers within the search industry, particularly for conversion experts who will really be able to take advantage and continue to optimise across all the digital media channels.”
Within the release Google confirmed that they have been piloting Multi-Channel Funnels with several customers over the past few months and seen their customers gain valuable insight into the buying-cycle and understand the often hidden contribution of channels like social and display to conversions.
The spokesperson from QueryClick continues: “With introductions such as Conversion Segments as well as the addition of five new reports will now allow all Analytics users to access and filter the data with ultimate control, whilst, creating the ability to manage and display the results of PPC campaigns much better.”
To see Multi-Channel Funnels, view My Conversions tab within Google Analytics. The reports will include data for automatically detected channels. Tracking for AdWords should also appear if set up.
