ONE of the world’s biggest sailing rallies in the world is bringing with it the season’s best events:
Corsica Coast Race (Corsica): From November 1 to 4, the world famous Corsica Coast Race will host a 100-km tour of the island with its departure and arrival in Ajaccio.
World Festival of Underwater Pictures (Bouches-du-Rhône): From November 1 to 4, the spirit of this artistic and scientific photography event, born in 1974, will carry on.
Special Frederick the Great Tricentennial Concert (Paris): On November 3, in the Chateau de Thoiry, works by Frederick the Great, Mozart, Bach and more will play.
Marathon 06 (Riviera): On November 4, the 42,195 km course along the sea from Nice to Cannes will offer a wonderful way to discover the French Riviera.
International hot-air ballon meeting (Auvergne): From November 9 to 11, the Auvergne region will see its sky sprinkled with the colours of hot-air balloons.
Vendée Globe Race (Western Loire): From November 10, the region of Vendée will host the famous “Vendée Globe Race”, a sailing contest around the world with no stops.
Film Festival (Dordogne): From November 13 to 17, the Film Festival of Sarlat in Dordogne will present a selection of short and full-length films over a week.
Silk Label Festival (Rhône-Alpes): From November 15 to 30, this event will be homage to Lyon’s proud Silk tradition with exhibitions, workshops, themed walks, conferences…
Truffles proclamation (Vaucluse): On November 17, the beginning of the truffle season in the village of Richerenches will mark the opening of its market with an official proclamation.
Hospices Beaune Wine Auction (Burgundy): On November 18, Burgundy will celebrate this famous wine sale which will attract buyers from all over the world.
Christmas’ Market – Abbey of Vaucelles (Nord-Pas-de-Calais): From November 23 to December 2, this Christmas Market will be held in an abbey transformed into a magical place.
Gatronomades (Poitou-Charentes): From November 23 to 25, Angouleme will be home to the famed Gastronomades, a food festival and hub for professionals in the food industries.
