MAURICE Taylor, founder and chief executive of the UK’s leading independent hotel management company Chardon Management, has won the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award at the Glasgow Restaurant Awards 2012 in recognition of his innovation and strategic vision.
Commenting on this latest award, which follows just a fortnight after he was awarded a certificate of recognition for his work as a mentor on the Business Mentoring Scotland programme, Taylor said: “I am delighted to accept this award from The Glasgow Restaurant Association, which has helped promote wider recognition of the fact that, outside of London, Glasgow offers the best dining scene in the UK.
“It is my belief that the entrepreneurial spirit that lies at the heart of the city’s hospitality sector has been central to its success and stands it in good stead for its ongoing development.”
