Aberdeen-based Sunday Post staffer, Patrick McFall, has joined the press and PR staff at Aberdeen University.
His move means Iain Harrison is meantime holding the fort for the newspaper in Aberdeen although it is expected Patrick, who is the son of former BBC Scotland newsman, Forbes, will be replaced in due course.
Meantime, Aberdeen University is currently advertising for a head of communications to effectively replace Jill Moir, who took up a similar post with Aberdeen City Council last year.
And let’s hope the new head can spell correctly.
In the university’s ad for the post (which doesn’t divulge the salary), the blurb states: “You will have principle responsibility for developing and implementing the communications strategy.” Of course, perhaps they really do mean an ethical responsibility.
