A financial PR has been appointed at a Glasgow communications agency, to work alongside a former business editor of the Sunday Herald newspaper.
Karen Morrison – who was at financial PR company, Buchanan Communications – joins as an account director at McGarvie Morrison Media.
Says MMM: “She will work with Ken Symon, business development director, on expanding MMM’s offering to dynamic growth businesses intending to float on the stock market.”
Symon joined MMM from the Sunday Herald in August. The company’s clients include Diageo, BAE Systems, Keppie Design, RBS, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Royal Mail, the Scottish Golf Union, Grant Management, Glasgow Caledonian University, East Ayrshire Council and Strathclyde Partnership for Transport.
Lindsay McGarvie, a former political editor of the Sunday Mail, and John Morrison, previously a BBC network correspondent, founded McGarvie Morrison Media in January two years ago.
MMM now also includes Peter Aitchison, a former BBC editor; Andy Rowe, a former aide to Tony Blair; and Sarah Anne Munro, previously a press officer with Glasgow Caledonian University.
