With news and sport now reduced to just a few minutes on Real Radio Scotland – when, previously, it used to occupy two, 50-minute slots each day – it’s perhaps no surprise that its journalists are seeking pastures new.
The latest to go, Karen MacKinnon, left on Friday, to become a government press officer, with the Department of Work and Pensions.
Karen – who worked at Saga 105.2, in Glasgow, before it was bought by Real owner, GMG, and re-branded as Smooth – is the fifth departure in recent weeks, the others being Fiona Deans, Lindsey Ingram, Donna Rafferty and Angeline McConville.
