Scotsman Publishers Reported to be Offering 'Equity Sweetener' to Lenders

The publisher of The Scotsman newspaper is reported to be offering lenders a five per cent stake as part of a debt restructuring deal.

Says today's Financial Times, Johnston Press is offering the 'equity sweetener' as part of negotiations with lenders to reset covenants and extend repayment deadlines.

Johnston Press has a £450 million debt.
