The Scotsman's business section today carries a story about the paper's breakthrough launch of its own iPhone application – believed to be a first among Scottish newspapers.
Not that readers of The Scotsman's London edition will necessarily know.
Instead of a page 8 comprising the iPhone story, plus another about a chilled foods company and yet another about a property group, what they got instead was a series of production instructions, including '450 words headery headery headery headery headery ta'.
As every production journalist in the land will be now saying: “There, but for the grace of God.”
