In the wake of the weekend football derby between Hibernian and Hearts, local evening newspaper, the Edinburgh Evening News, is take a step back in time by resurrecting the much-loved Spot the Ball competition.
This time around, readers will be invited peruse not one (as in the past) but two photographs – one involving Hibs, the other Hearts – to guess where the (digitally-removed) ball is.
In the past, readers would cut out the photograph from their newspaper and send it off with their guess an ink cross. Readers now have to choose a grid reference where they think the ball is and text in their answer – at 50p per text.
