It’s such a heart-warming tale, of the pet that had been missing for so long, the year-long gap between the first reporting of the return to its owners of Motherwell pooch, Quincy, and the second probably makes little odds.
Anyway, the best shaggy dog stories always deserve re-telling, either here, as in yesterday in the Evening Times, or here, as in over twelve months ago, in a blog by the name of Nothing to do with Arbroath.
Or in the Daily Express, on August 15 last year, under the headline, ‘The Rover’s Return’ – the same headline as that used in the Daily Mail. Or in the Daily Mirror, under the headline, ‘Dogone Amazing’.
But Spike is sure the smile on the owners’ faces will have not changed in all that time.
