allmediascotland.com had been alerted to this tale, but hadn't a copy to hand to scan it: the missing headline had been sorted by the time the Edinburgh edition had been dispatched. 

It seems only copies headed for the north of Scotland were affected….

Page 71 of yesterday's edition of the Scottish Daily Mail carried a report by Scots cricket writer, William Dick, that carried the four-deck dummy headline: Gjhgkjhc hkjhvbkjv jchvbkjhv bhbjkbvb

It was enough to have trade magazine, Press Gazette, speculate whether it was part of an ongoing revolt by sub-editors: “Replace us with machines will you? Well see how well your papers sell without headlines.”
